LASER-ALIGNMENT

The laser alignment system is used for fitting as well as practice. IT RECORDS EXACTLY WHERE YOUR PUTTER WAS AIMED AT ADDRESS AS WELL AS AT IMPACT. It not only indicates where you were aligned in a horizontal plane, it shows where in the arc that you hit the ball.

The system consists of a screen monitored by a CCD camera (web cam). This camera is operated by a computer. The laser attachment is attached to your BALL POSITION TM putter. A wire with a membrane switch is run up the shaft. You address the ball, aiming at a target on the screen. When you are lined up you momentarily activate the membrane switch. This fires the laser. The location is marked with a red dot containing a subscripted number on the computer screen. The subscripted number indicates which putt in the series it represents. You then hit the putt. An impact switch activates the laser upon contact with the ball. This is recorded as a blue dot by the computer. The blue dot also has a corresponding subscript. You can choose how many putts in a series as well as the time interval between putts.

IF YOU ARE LIKE MOST PEOPLE YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU LINE UP LEFT AND SWING OUT AT THE BALL CREATING TWO ERRORS THAT COUNTERACT EACH OTHER ON THE DAYS THAT YOU ARE MAKING PUTTS.
